Photo Gallery | Suspect sought for 2010 DMV shooting, robbery

MONROE - Monroe Police are looking for another suspect wanted in connection with the shooting and armed robbery of a DMV office in November 2010.

Kenneth Demetrius Meaders is wanted for accessory after the fact to a felony for the November 1 incident at the North Carolina License Plate Agency.

Robbie and Crystal Jordan were shot several times in the parking lot of Bundy Square Mall on Roosevelt Boulevard on November 1, 2010, according to the Monroe Police Department.

Robbie Jordan was treated for his injuries and released following the incident while his wife, Crystal Jordan, sustained serious injuries from the shooting.

Meaders is described as 5'10" tall, weighing around 215 pounds with brown eyes and short black hair.

Monroe Police say he has a tattoo of "MOB" on the left side of his neck and a tattoo of a cross with the world "FOREVERBLESSED" on the right side of his neck.

His last known address is in the 7300 block of Pebblestone Drive in Charlotte, police say, and is believed to be in the Rock Hill or Charlotte area.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Kenneth Demetrius Meaders is asked to contact Union County Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600.

A Charlotte woman was arrested for the same charge at the first of the year, the fourth person charged in the incident.

Nine days after the shooting on November 10, 2010, Melvin Lee Luckey, 34, who had the same listed address as Ingram, and Otis Redding Howie, Jr., 27 of the 1800 block of Griers Grove Road in Charlotte were arrested and charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of larceny of a firearm.  Howie was also charged with one count of possession of a firearm by felon. 

They remain in the Union County Jail under a $1.5 million bond. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were able to connect Howie and Luckey to the October 8, 2010, Arrowood Road Charlotte DMV robbery and the Charlotte DMV robbery on September 24, 2007.

The duo were charged with two counts each robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts each conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Monroe Police arrested a third suspect in the robbery and shooting almost three weeks after the incident. On November 19, Frieda Lashon Brown, 37, of the 400 block of Hunstmoor Drive in Charlotte was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
